It’s the home stretch month in baseball, as there’s only a month until the 2026 post-season gets underway.
Go behind the music of Moana: Voices Across the Ocean when an exclusive track-by-track special premieres Monday, August 10 at 12pm ET on SiriusXM’s Disney Hits (Ch. 133).
Hosted by Dwayne Johnson, the special features executive producers Lauren Hashian, Tiana Nonosina Liufau, and Kayla Faʻamaligi as they guide listeners through the companion album inspired by Disney’s live-action Moana. Along the way, they introduce each artist, explore the meaning behind every song, and celebrate the Pacific voices and cultures that shaped the project.
During the special, Johnson also shares how the album began with an idea he pitched to Disney: to create a companion record that would shine a global spotlight on talented Polynesian artists who “sing from the heart and… from the soul.” The result is a collection featuring more than 25 artists performing in languages from across the Polynesian Triangle, including Samoan, Tongan, Tahitian, and more.
Listeners will also hear the creative team discuss how music preserves genealogy, storytelling, and cultural traditions, making Moana: Voices Across the Ocean more than an album — it’s a celebration of Polynesian heritage and the artists bringing those stories to audiences around the world.
