This week, The Verge wants to get your ears on these great new tracks:
This Charlottetown band will have their full-length debut album In Full Bloom out October 18th. On this record they ask, when do you know if you should fight for a relationship or fight your way out?
Toronto-based artist POESY first emerged on the reality tv-show The Launch. She just released her debut EP Glass Box Confessional, a mix of beautiful keys, riffs, beats and vocals that will remind you of your favourite 80s/90s frontwomen. Though POESY is only 25 years old, she has lots to say about being afraid, in love, strong, ashamed, and confused.
Stuck on Planet Earth is a Toronto-based alternative rock band sharing their debut full-length Beautiful Nowhere. The album was produced by Steve Molella of Finger Eleven fame. You can catch Stuck on Planet Earth on tour with Moist this fall. The first single, “Rising”, is about perseverance and keeping an eye on what’s around the corner.
London Ontario’s Texas King formed back in 2013. The group was inspired by the sounds of Arkells, The Glorious Sons, Gary Clark Jr., and the Gaslight Anthem. You can catch them on the road this fall, touring with Big Wreck.
This troubadour-turned Torontonian punk-roots rocker has had an excellent 2019. This summer Sam Roberts hand-picked her to open his shows at the Kee to Bala in Muskoka, a cottage-country hotspot for weekend concerts. This fall, you can catch Sky on tour with Matt Mays.
