Pride 2021

SiriusXM encourages everyone to lead, love, learn, live, and listen with pride this June in honour of the strides and sacrifices made by members of the LGBTQIA+ community. To celebrate throughout the month, enjoy special programming from music, talk, entertainment, and comedy channels (all times ET). You’ll hear celebrity Guest DJ takeovers, deep dives into topics like health disparities and advocating for change, exclusive comedy blocks, and so much more.

Music

SoulCycle Radio

From Monday, June 21st through Sunday, June 27th, tap it back with pride on SoulCycle Radio (Ch. 4). Monday through Friday, hear special guest playlists hosted by instructors and other members of the LGBTQIA+ community, including musicians and speakers. Then, Saturday and Sunday, SoulCycle Radio transforms into a weekend Pride party with specially curated DJ mixes from LGBTQIA+ SoulCycle instructors filled with high-energy Pride anthems.

Enjoy a special block of music during the Disney Hits (Ch. 302) Extra Magic Hour: Pride Month special on Monday, June 21st at 12 pm. Featuring songs like Demi Lovato’s “This Is Me” and Amy Adams’ “That’s How You Know,” it’ll be 60 minutes of feel-good listening, specially curated to show Pride for the community. This special hour of Pride music will replay all week through Sunday, June 27th.

88rising Radio

Two shows on 88rising Radio (Ch. 305) will be airing special LGBTQIA+ content this month. On House of Jade, enjoy mixes provided by LGBTQIA+ collectives from around the world. On Joy F**k Club, Joel Kim Booster interviews Las Culturistas co-host and SNL cast member Bowen Yang and other guests.

Comedy, Talk & Entertainment

All month long on Canada Talks, you can hear “This Moment of Pride” features with Shaun Proulx throughout the week. The channel’s first openly gay host, Shaun brings his glittering personality, cheeky honesty and uplifting, thought-provoking conversation skills to The Shaun Proulx Show, attracting guests eager to join his leading-edge #ThoughtRevolution, which embraces safe exploration of the diversity of our experiences as human beings. The Shaun Proulx Show airs Saturdays at 10 am, 3 pm and 9 pm ET and on Sundays at 4 pm and 10 pm ET.

Radio Andy (Ch. 102) becomes Andy Cohen’s Pride Radio at 5 pm on Friday, June 25th through Sunday, June 27. Business Radio

In honour of Pride Month on Business Radio (Ch. 132), Randi Zuckerberg Means Business will celebrate LGBTQIA+ members of the community by speaking with a variety of guests who are advocating for change. This includes talking about how brands and business owners can use their platforms in a way that amplifies important issues and supports Pride in a thoughtful way. Special guests include Scott Gatz (Founder and CEO of Q.Digital), Ryan Cassata (accomplished singer-songwriter and award-winning LGBTQIA+ activist), Alex Black (Head of Marketing at Grindr), and Miriam Warren (Chief Diversity Officer at Yelp).

On She’s So Funny (Ch. 771) during a special episode of Private Parts Unknown: Comedians of OnlyFans, hosts Courtney Kocak and Sofiya Alexandra discuss being gay in Helsinki, Finland. This episode is about the legalization of gay marriage in Finland and how it has impacted the lives of queer residents. Kocak and Alexandra cover the overwhelming response to the initial petition, how the law passed, a classically Finnish wedding proposal, coming out later in life, the legislation’s impact on LGBTQA+ acceptance, and more!
