The music world was shocked to hear that vocalist Chris Cornell died suddenly Wednesday night at age 52 In Detroit following a performance with Soundgarden. Reports out of the area are that it was an “apparent” suicide, but no confirmation has been made as of 8:30 am ET.
Along with Soundgarden, Cornell sang with Temple of the Dog and Audioslave.
In 2015, Cornell visited the SiriusXM studios, where he performed a now-legendary cover of Prince’s ‘Nothing Compares 2 U’.
He also played ‘Fell on Black Days’ and ‘Nearly Forgot My Broken Heart.’
