Hall of Fame 2021

It’s official: The 2021 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductees have been announced on SiriusXM VOLUME (Ch. 109). The highly anticipated announcement — shared on-air by Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Foundation CEO and President Joel Peresman alongside Feedback hosts Nik Carter and Lori Majewski — celebrates the most diverse list of inductees in the history of the organization, marking the ceremony’s 36th year. Stay tuned to VOLUME to hear full coverage and commentary about this year’s class.

Music from this year’s inductees, plus insight into their catalogs from Rock Hall curators, fellow artists, and the honourees themselves, can be heard all month long on the exclusive Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Radio (Ch. 310) channel. Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Radio will also air a simulcast of the 36th Annual Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony when it takes place on Saturday, October 30th at 8 pm ET at Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse in Cleveland, OH.

Your 2021 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductees in the Performer category — honouring bands and solo artists who, in their careers, have created music whose originality, impact, and influence have changed the course of rock & roll — are:

Tina Turner

Carole King

The Go-Go’s

JAY-Z

Foo Fighters

Todd Rundgren

The Musical Excellence Award is presented to artists, musicians, songwriters, and producers whose originality and influence in creating music have had a dramatic impact on music. This year’s recipients include SiriusXM’s very own LL COOL J, pioneer of LL COOL J’s Rock The Bells Radio (Ch. 43), as well as Billy Preston and Ozzy Osbourne’s legendary guitarist Randy Rhoads, whose music you can hear on Ozzy’s Boneyard (Ch. 38).

The Ahmet Ertegun Award, which is given to non-performing industry professionals who, through their dedicated belief and support of artists and their music, have had a major influence on the creative development and growth of rock & roll and music that has impacted youth culture, will be bestowed upon the Godfather of Black Music, Clarence Avant.

KraftwerkGil Scott Heron, and Charley Patton will receive the 2021 Early Influence Award, reserved for a performing artist or group whose music and performance style have directly influenced and helped inspire and evolve rock & roll and music that has impacted youth culture.
