Grateful Dead Channel (Ch. 23) celebrates the life and legacy of Jerry Garcia during “The Days Between,” August 1–9, marking the time between Jerry’s birth and his passing.
Do all these days spent inside have you feeling a little nostalgic? Lucky for you, longtime SiriusXM On Broadway (Ch. 72) show host Seth Rudetsky is kicking off an original weekly entertainment podcast, Seth Rudetsky’s Back to School, for SiriusXM. In the podcast, which launches on Tuesday, March 24th, Rudetsky will be interviewing celebrities about their high school experiences — and how those experiences continue to shape them.
Seth Rudetsky believes we truly never graduate from high school — the crushes, breakups, frenemies, pop quizzes, starring roles, and chorus parts all make us who we are today. The host will invite listeners along as he and his famous friends reveal their greatest triumphs and humiliations of grades 9 through 12, like how Vanessa Williams accidentally planted marijuana in her mother’s greenhouse, Allison Janney experienced a near-death accident at 17, and Tina Fey found real-life influences for Mean Girls.
Special guests include Fey, Williams, Michael Urie, Sean Hayes, Rosie O’Donnell, Janney, Bebe Neuwirth, Bob the Drag Queen, and Jason Alexander. Guests will answer revealing questions through segments like “This or That” (does Fey prefer Duran Duran or Billy Ocean?), “High School vs. Now” (would 15-year-old Urie confront someone if he heard them talking behind his back? How about current Urie?), and “Show and Tell” (what did the boy who inspired Aaron Samuels write in Fey’s yearbook?).
Be sure to catch weekly new episodes of Seth Rudetsky’s Back to School podcast on the SiriusXM App starting March 24th.
