Go back to Buffalo this long weekend for a classic show from The Tragically Hip
This August long weekend, The Tragically Hip Radio is rolling out another exclusive live show from the vaults.
This time, we’re heading back to November 1996 and a show recorded live in Buffalo, New York. The Tragically Hip were one of the very first bands to play what was then known as Marine Midland Arena. The band delivered 21 classics from their entire career, including tracks off of Trouble at the Henhouse, which had been released the previous May.
The Hip Live at Marine Midland Arena in Buffalo, 1996 will exclusively air on The Tragically Hip Radio:
Saturday, August 2nd at 12 pm and 7 pm ET
Sunday, August 3rd at 2 pm and 9 pm ET
Monday, August 4th at 1 pm and 8 pm ET
The Tragically Hip Top 40 Countdown
Along with a new live concert from the vaults, The Tragically Hip Radio is also celebrating the August long weekend with Episodes 1-15 of The Tragically Hip Top 40 Countdown – a fan driven podcast hosted by JD Dew. The Tragically Hip Top 40 Countdown began to honour 40 years of The Hip, and picking the top 40 songs is no easy feat. JD is joined by guests you’ll recognize, and some diehard Hip fans along the way. The number one Tragically Hip song from The Tragically Hip Top 40 Countdown will be revealed on October 4th at A Celebration of The Hip for ALS in Toronto. You can learn more at dewvre.com/tthtop40.
