During the event, Bono and The Edge accepted the prestigious award at the historic Cain’s Ballroom in Tulsa, Oklahoma, on behalf of their band. The special includes Bono and The Edge’s exclusive acoustic set and in-depth conversation moderated by award-winning producer, songwriter, and musician T Bone Burnett.
The Woody Guthrie Prize is awarded annually to artists who use their platform to address injustice. Previous winners include Mavis Staples (2015), Kris Kristofferson (2016), Norman Lear (2017), John Mellencamp (2018), Chuck D (2019), Joan Baez (2020), Bruce Springsteen (2021), Pussy Riot (2023), and Tom Morello (2024).
