Listen to Ron Bennington’s ‘PORTCAST,’ recorded during chemotherapy

A collage of four candid photos shows people visiting a man in a hospital, recording a podcast, with SiriusXM and PORTCAST logos, and visitor badges displayed on the images. Listen to Ron Bennington on Faction Talk exclusively on SiriusXM Canada.

Legendary broadcaster and comedian Ron Bennington is turning his chemotherapy treatments into a new kind of comedy podcast.

PORTCAST is recorded from Bennington’s chemotherapy chair as friends including Shane Gillis, Michael Che, Tim Dillon, Jim Norton, Sal Vulcano, Joe List, Gary Gulman, Matteo Lane, Dan Soder, Colin Quinn, Stavros Halkias, and Dave Attell sit beside him for candid — and often very funny — conversations about cancer, comedy, friendship, life and death. Additional guests will join Bennington during future treatment cycles.

The podcast’s name comes from the surgically implanted port used to administer Bennington’s treatment.

Starting September 15 at 10am ET, check out PORTCAST episodes on YouTube, the SiriusXM app, and wherever you get your podcasts.

Bennington continues to host The Bennington Show on SiriusXM’s Faction Talk alongside his daughter, Gail Bennington, who has also taken a leading role on her father’s care team.
