This weekend, SiriusXM is launching a celestial selection of space-themed specials in honour of the 50th anniversary of the world’s first moon landing on July 20, 1969. You’ll hear actual audio clips from the historic Apollo 11 spaceflight and an exclusive interview with a legendary NASA astronaut, plus moon-themed songs on your favourite music channels.

Radio Classics (Ch. 148) is celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the first moon landing with a two-hour special featuring real dispatches between Houston Control and Apollo 11 astronauts Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin on the lunar service, as well as astronaut Michael Collins orbiting around the moon in the command module. Plus, you’ll hear lunar-themed science-fiction episodes of NBC’s Dimension X and X-Minus One from the 1950s.

POTUS Politics (Ch. 124) host Julie Mason will mark the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing with a special three-hour edition of The Press Pool, live from the National Air and Space Museum in Washington, D.C.
