NHL Games Of The Week: Saturday, March 6th – Friday, March 12th

NHL Games of the Week
OTTAWA, ON - FEBRUARY 9: Matt Murray #30 of the Ottawa Senators makes a save against Jujhar Khaira #16 of the Edmonton Oilers at Canadian Tire Centre on February 9, 2021 in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.
Saturday, March 6th – Florida Panthers at Nashville Predators

2 pm Eastern SiriusXM 91

A tale of two teams, as the Panthers have played impressive hockey since the season began, while the Predators keep searching for consistency, and risk falling out of the playoff race in the tough Central Division.

Sunday, March 7th – New Jersey Devils at Boston Bruins

5 pm Eastern SiriusXM 91

The Devils have been better than most expected, but are still a long shot to make the playoff cut in the East, arguably the top division in the NHL.  A different story for the Bruins, who are one of the top contenders for the top spot in the East.

Monday, March 8th – Montreal Canadiens at Vancouver Canucks

10 pm Eastern SiriusXM 167

Early on this season, Montreal feasted on the Canucks, in particular forward (and former Canuck) Tyler Toffoli.  A lot has changed since then, and Vancouver can take a big step towards a fourth place in the North Division with a win tonight.

Tuesday, March 9th – Chicago Blackhawks at Dallas Stars

8:30 pm Eastern SiriusXM 91

Are the Chicago Blackhawks for real?  Apparently yes!  They have surprised everybody so far this season, and look to continue their march to the playoffs when they face a Stars squad that can play better than they’ve shown so far.

Wednesday, March 10th – Vegas Golden Knights at Minnesota Wild

7 pm Eastern SiriusXM 91

A marquee matchup between two teams that could face each other in the playoffs. While the 4th year Knights were expected to be here, the Wild have surpassed most expectations, and are playing inspired hockey.

Thursday, March 11th – Winnipeg Jets at Toronto Maple Leafs

7 pm Eastern SiriusXM 91

While it appears the Maple Leafs are running away with the North Division, the Jets aren’t that far back in their rearview mirror.  A battle of the top two teams in Canada promises a lot of fireworks.

Friday, March 12th – Ottawa Senators at Edmonton Oilers

9 pm Eastern SiriusXM 91

Don’t take the Ottawa Senators lightly, or they’ll emerge with the two points.  The Maple Leafs, Canadiens, and Jets have already learned this lesson.  Edmonton can play run-and-gun hockey with the best of them and will have to find a way to set the tone against the Sens.
