NHL Games of the Week: Saturday, October 30th – Friday, November 5th

Saturday, October 30th – 1:30 pm Eastern SiriusXM 91

New York Islanders at Nashville Predators

Islanders’ fans are reminded that their team doesn’t always get off to the greatest start, but they are always there when the playoffs begin.  Will the Predators make the post-season this season in a tough Central Division?

Sunday, October 31st – 9:00 pm Eastern SiriusXM 91

New York Rangers at Seattle Kraken

Hallowe’en action from Washington State, as the expansion Kraken welcome in the Rangers for the first time.  New York has gotten off to a good start, while Seattle are pretty much where most people expected them to be…close.  And in the Pacific, keeping it close will be the key to making the playoffs.

Monday, November 1st – 7:00 pm Eastern SiriusXM 91

Washington Capitals at Tampa Bay Lightning

Not the greatest start for the defending Stanley Cup champions, and they’ll be without offensive threat Nikita Kucherov, who recently underwent surgery, and will most likely be lost to the team for a couple of months.  The Capitals are off to a good start in the Metropolitan Division, and Alexander Ovechkin keeps scoring goals.

Tuesday, November 2nd – 7:00 pm Eastern SiriusXM 91

Vegas Golden Knights at Toronto Maple Leafs

Both of these teams thought they’d have more points in the bank by the beginning of November, but it’s a long season, and both teams aren’t expected to miss the playoffs in their respective divisions. Last Wednesday, Toronto ended a mini skid with a 3-2 OT win over Chicago.

Wednesday, November 3rd – 8:30 pm Eastern SiriusXM 91

Nashville Predators at Edmonton Oilers

So far so good for the Oilers, who jumped out to the early lead in the Pacific Division.  They won their first five games, before dropping a 5-3 decision to the visiting Flyers.

Thursday, November 4th –  9:00 pm Eastern SiriusXM 167

Dallas Stars at Calgary Flames

After just missing the playoffs this past spring, can the Stars claw their way back into the post-season picture?  The same questions surround the Flames, but recently they’ve been playing some good hockey, which has them near the top of the Pacific Division.

Friday, November 5th – 8:00 pm Eastern SiriusXM 91

Chicago Blackhawks at Winnipeg Jets

It’s been a nightmare of a season so far for the Blackhawks, and tonight they are in Winnipeg, to take on a Jets team that believes they can go far in the playoffs, after being swept in the second-round last season.
