Sebastian Maniscalco is launching We Got Company, a new monthly SiriusXM series.
Singer and actress Reneé Rapp celebrated her 24th birthday with the Morning Mash Up on SiriusXM Hits 1 (Ch. 2), sharing cake and a behind-the-scenes look at her latest single and the upcoming Mean Girls movie.
In addition to portraying Leighton Murray in The Sex Lives of College Girls, Reneé starred as Regina George in the Broadway musical Mean Girls — which is now being adapted into a film, also starring Reneé as Regina. She teamed up with Megan Thee Stallion on the song “Not My Fault,” which dropped last Friday for the Mean Girls official soundtrack.
“Meg was like, ‘Mean Girls is my favourite thing; I have to do this,’” Reneé told the Morning Mash Up.
Describing Megan The Stallion as “the hardest worker [she’s] ever met in [her] life,” Reneé explained that they’re both “pretty choosey” about their company and their time, but they were eager to work together.
“[Meg]’s just somebody who I’m such a big fan of and have been for a really long time,” she continued. “She was making mix tapes and doing music videos on the top level of a parking garage in booty shorts and a little tan tank top, and I was like, ‘She’s perfect. She’s amazing. She’s gonna change the game.’ Yeah, I’m obsessed with her.”
