The NHL Global Series continues, and more Games of the Week

NHL
VANCOUVER, CANADA - APRIL 4: Martin Jones #30 of the Seattle Kraken makes a save on Anthony Beauvillier #72 of the Vancouver Canucks during their NHL game at Rogers Arena April 4, 2023 in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.

It’s a short week of NHL action, with Thanksgiving being celebrated in the U.S. on Thursday. However, you can hear all the action on SiriusXM NHL Network Radio.

Saturday, November 18th – 10 pm Eastern – SiriusXM91
Seattle Kraken at Vancouver Canucks

When the NHL returned to Seattle after a century away, one of the anticipated regional rivalries was with the Canucks. The same Canucks are off to a rip-roaring start to the season. The Kraken made the playoffs this past spring, in only their second season in the league. Vancouver missed the post-season cut, but with their impressive start, they have their sights set on mid-April.

Sunday, November 19th – 8 am Eastern – SiriusXM 91
Toronto Maple Leafs at Minnesota Wild

The NHL Global Series continues in Stockholm, Sweden, with the Wild taking on the Maple Leafs.  Many hockey observers handed the Atlantic Division crown to Toronto, and the Leafs will be in the mix for that title. However, they’ll have to play with more consistency to cut into the sizeable lead the Bruins have already established. The Wild find themselves in a dogfight for a Western Conference playoff invite.

Monday, November 20th – 7 pm Eastern – SiriusXM 91
Edmonton Oilers at Florida Panthers

After making the first head coaching change of the young season, can the underachieving Oilers pull up their collective hockey socks and slowly climb up the NHL Western Conference standings? This evening they visit a Panthers’ club that has defied expectations yet again in the East.

Tuesday, November 21st – NO GAMES TODAY

Wednesday, November 22nd – 7 pm – SiriusXM 91
New York Rangers at Pittsburgh Penguins

Nobody is clicking more than the New York Rangers, who take their high-flying act to the Keystone State.  They’re facing a Penguins team that is chock full of notable veterans who are making another run at an elongated playoff run. After a slow start, Pittsburgh are playing like the power many expected them to be.

Thursday, November 23rd – NO GAMES TODAY

 Happy Thanksgiving!

Friday, November 24th – 3:30 pm Eastern – SiriusXM 91
Los Angeles Kings at Anaheim Ducks

Black Friday hockey from Southern California, as the Freeway Face-Off once again is the place to be. The Kings are one of the powers in the Western Conference, while the young Ducks have been a pleasant surprise so far. They’ve made it their trademark to pull off third-period comebacks, having done so for an NHL record six times in their first 15 games.
