Many hockey observers handed the Atlantic Division crown to Toronto, and the Leafs will be in the mix for that title. However, they’ll have to play with more consistency to cut into the sizeable lead the Bruins have already established. The Wild find themselves in a dogfight for a Western Conference playoff invite.
After making the first head coaching change of the young season, can the underachieving Oilers pull up their collective hockey socks and slowly climb up the NHL Western Conference standings? This evening they visit a Panthers’ club that has defied expectations yet again in the East.
Nobody is clicking more than the New York Rangers, who take their high-flying act to the Keystone State. They’re facing a Penguins team that is chock full of notable veterans who are making another run at an elongated playoff run. After a slow start, Pittsburgh are playing like the power many expected them to be.
