The 43-year-old Oscar nominee plays Dalton in the reimagining of the 1989 cult classic starring Patrick Swayze. Gyllenhaal has become a prolific action star, previously appearing on Howard Stern’s show to discuss his intense training for his role in “Southpaw” (2015) and changing his physical appearance for “Spider-Man: Far From Home” (2019).

“Road House” also stars Daniela Melchior, former UFC champion Conor McGregor (in his feature film debut), Jessica Williams, Lukas Gage, and Billy Magnussen. In it, Dalton is an ex-UFC fighter who takes a job as a bouncer at a roadhouse in the Florida Keys – but discovers that “this paradise is not all it seems.”

Directed by Doug Liman, “Road House” premiered at South by Southwest on March 8, and will drop on Prime Video on March 21.

“The Howard Stern Show” airs live on the Howard 100 channel Monday through Wednesday (7 am – 11 am ET), with replays of Monday and Tuesday shows on Thursdays and Fridays. Episodes and videos are also available on the SiriusXM app.
