Edmonton Oilers at Vegas Golden Knights
With Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl leading the way, it’s always worth your time to watch the Oilers in action. Tonight they take their high-flying act to Las Vegas, where they clash with the Golden Knights, who have been playing better hockey recently.
New York Islanders at New York Rangers
Less than a week after dropping a 4-1 decision to the visiting Rangers, it’s the Islanders turn to be the invaders. They’ve been hit hard by COVID issues, and even before that, have struggled to gain traction in the tough Metropolitan Division.
Seattle Kraken at Buffalo Sabres
After a good start, the Sabres have returned to playing more to what was expected of them this season. They’ll put up a fight, unlike previous seasons, and this evening welcome in a Kraken team that look more like a traditional expansion team than their cousins the Golden Knights did.
Anaheim Ducks at Los Angeles Kings
The Freeway Faceoff is back on! The Ducks have been a pleasant revelation so far this campaign, and are making waves in the Pacific Division. Down the road, the Kings got off to a good start, but inconsistency has hurt them recently, as has a faltering power play.
Philadelphia Flyers at New York Rangers
While the Rangers look impressive a quarter of the way through the 2021-22 NHL season, the Flyers are still searching for more offence. That lack of goal production has hurt them big time, and has squandered some solid performances in net by Carter Hart.
Colorado Avalanche at Montreal Canadiens
Back in the province from whence they came, the old Quebec Nordiques are looking pretty good these days. It took a while for the Avalanche to get their game together, but they’ve steadily risen in the Central Division standings. As for Montreal, there’s not really a lot of positive things that can be said about their season to this point.
New Jersey Devils at Winnipeg Jets
A surprise start for the Devils has catapulted them into the thick of the Eastern Conference wildcard race. The Jets have their sights set on top spot in the Central Division.
