Saturday, February 10th – 7 pm Eastern – SiriusXM 91
Pittsburgh Penguins at Winnipeg Jets

The Jets have cooled…their jets…a bit recently, but they’re still in the hunt for the top spot in the supersonic Central Division. Tonight, they play host to a veteran Penguins team with designs for the third spot in the Metropolitan Division. Why third? Most observers believe the Hurricanes and Rangers will finish in the top two spots in that group. That leaves the third place or one of the two Eastern Conference wildcard slots.

Sunday, February 11th – 1 pm Eastern – SiriusXM 91
St. Louis Blues at Montreal Canadiens

It was a Super Bowl battle between two teams that surprised people in their respective Conferences. The Canadiens aren’t going to make the playoffs this season, but that wasn’t really this team’s goal this time.  It’s the development of their younger talent, and to that end, the team has earned more points this season because of it. As for the Blues, they could make the playoff cut this time, as the Western Conference’s lower end appears to be up for grabs, and St. Louis are a tough out.

Monday, February 12th – 7 pm Eastern – SiriusXM 91
Calgary Flames at New York Rangers

Back on October 24th, the Rangers emerged with a 3-1 win on Calgary ice. Almost four months later, the Broadway Blueshirts are one of the top two teams in the Metropolitan Division, while the Flames are perceived to be in a selling mood, even though they are still within spitting distance of a Western wildcard spot.

Tuesday, February 13th – 9 pm Eastern – SiriusXM 91
Detroit Red Wings at Edmonton Oilers

Having recently had their impressive 16-game winning streak snapped by Vegas, the Oilers now look to solidify their playoff position in the Pacific Division.  The team they are immediately chasing is Vegas.  Tonight, Edmonton welcomes in the Red Wings, who are finally back in the playoff hunt in the East.

Wednesday, February 14th – 7:30 pm Eastern – SiriusXM 91
Florida Panthers at Pittsburgh Penguins

While it remains to be seen if the 2023-24 edition of the Pittsburgh Penguins are playoff bound, It’s been an impressive season so far for the Panthers.  Picking up where they left off last June (a NHL Stanley Cup Final appearance against the Golden Knights), Florida isn’t far off the pace the Bruins have set as division leaders in the Atlantic Division.

Thursday, February 15th – 7 pm Eastern – SiriusXM 91
Philadelphia Flyers at Toronto Maple Leafs

The surprising Flyers were recently brought back to Earth a bit after a five-game losing streak. Are they ready for Playoff Prime Time this time around? This evening, it will be a tough game against a Maple Leafs team that many expected to challenge for Atlantic Division supremacy. Instead, Toronto is in a battle for a third spot, along with Tampa and Detroit.

Friday, February 16th – 9 pm Eastern – SiriusXM 91
Carolina Hurricanes at Arizona Coyotes

It took a while for the Canes to look like the Canes, but they’re back in the race for top billing in the Metropolitan Division. Tonight, they’re in the desert, facing a young Coyotes team that flirted with a playoff spot for the first half of this season, though most observers don’t expect them to be in that position at the end of regular-season play in mid-April. Not yet for the Coyotes, but soon.
